How our board books are made

Every Kids Board Book is printed on demand in the USA, on responsibly sourced paperboard, with lead-safe inks and no plastic wrap.

Printed on demand — no overstock

Nothing ships until you personalize it. That means no warehouses full of books nobody bought, and no landfill from unsold inventory. Every book is a one-off.

Made in the USA

All Kids Board Books are printed, bound, and shipped by Pinhole Press in the United States. That shortens the supply chain and cuts shipping emissions compared to overseas manufacturing.

Responsibly sourced paperboard

Our board book pages use paperboard from mills that source from responsibly managed forests. The pages are ultra-thick (2–3mm) — engineered to last a full toddlerhood so you buy fewer books over time.

Lead-safe inks, no glossy laminates

Every board book uses a glossy, wipeable finish. Spills and sticky fingerprints wipe clean with a damp cloth, so books stay in rotation for years instead of being replaced.

Minimal packaging

Books ship in recyclable cardboard mailers with no plastic wrap. Gift-ready packaging is included at no extra cost — one package, one recycled box, no bag.

Built to last

The most sustainable book is the one still being read in three years. Every design decision — page thickness, corner shape, binding — is optimized for a book that survives the entire 0–3 window instead of one that's replaced every six months.
